The Mustangs ran hard and took 7th out of 17 teams in the penultimate race of the 2018 season. 9 of the 15 Clawson runners set personal records on the hilly course at Eastwood Beach in Stoney Creek Metropark.
The team was lead by Kyle Robbins who took third overall, finishing the 2-mile course in 11 minutes and 58 seconds. Kyle Gougeon became the second Mustang to finish 2 miles in under 13 minutes this season, and he took home a medal for his 20th place. Jude Maurer, Jackson Sines, and Mason Hodges also all set personal records.
In the girls race, Maddie Pfaff lead the way for the squad. She just missed going under 15 minutes by 8-tenths of a second. Fellow 6th graders Ellie Maurer, Addison Hill, Meghan Shea all set personal bests while Lana WIlder and Calleigh McMillian ran within seconds of their best times as well.
The Mustangs will wrap up their season next Wednesday at Lake Orion’s Pumpkin Invitational.
